The expanding footprint of the natural gas industry on farmland is evident throughout the
Peace River region. On this farm a short distance east of the Alaska Highway and south of Taylor Encana has taken 40 acres of farmland out of production to build just one natural gas well pad that could eventually have up to 50 gas wells drilled and fracked on it.
