A large and remote clearcut of what is rapidly diminishing ancient coastal tmeperate rainforest. Recent logging in the Caycuse region near Lake Cowichan on Vancouver Island. With the valley bottoms of these valuable and rare large old growth forests now mostly all clearcut, logging companies are now focusing on the most remote, high elevation and steep slope forests as they are virually all this is now left of these forests.
